The Walkman works as a cable car, pulling itself along by playing the tape. The tape
contains a recording of “space”: Magnetic storm over Antarctica.
The viewer takes on the headphone and follows the Walkman on its travel trough
space and time.
Thus converting Space into Time and vice versa.
