Space of slow light speed

2003

Still in process...

If light were to travel with a speed of one meter per second, then the images that we see
would arrive at the same speed.

With that light speed one would experience the following:
Walking with a speed of one meter per second away from a cat - would perceive the cat as
a still image, frozen in time -
Walking faster than one meter per second away - the cat’s time would appear to be
backwards.
Colours would appear different also – Colours are made of light. Different wave lengths of
light have different colours. Moving fast, relative to the speed of light would cause red shift
and blue shift to appear. (A kind of Doppler effect for light)
I have created this space:
Entering this space you go into a corridor with a mirror on the end wall, this mirror is in
reality a video projection, and is the canvas for the experience.
At first sight the mirror is reflecting an empty corridor and after a few seconds you see
yourself enter.
If you then go towards the mirror, you will after a bit of time see yourself walking towards
you, though with a slight bluish tint and moving a bit faster than you are actually walking.
When you reach the mirror at the end of the corridor the delay is gone and once you stop
the colour tint disappears as well.
Walking backwards the mirrored image is still and redish and you realise that you are
walking at the speed of light!
Running backwards and you manage to see yourself walking to the mirror in a red tint.
Now you can start exploring the strange connection between colour, speed of light and time!
